We are almost there – Thank you!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
We have come so far since we acquired our building in 2007. It was in such bad shape that we could not bring the public inside. With the help of many hands and many financial supporters, we have been able to finish the main floor and the basement.
We have not only made repairs, we have created exhibits and opened our doors to invite people in to learn about the history of their country. It is amazing what has been done. If you scrapped wallpaper or paint off a wall, washed, stained, or painted, donated money or items, hammered a nail, fixed a broken light, sewed a costume, a curtain, made or served a meal, answered the phone, gave a compliment, told a friend, took a tour, spread the word, put on a costume, helped develop an idea, planted, watered, washed a window, walked with our float, became a member, raked, weeded, encouraged, prayed….whatever you have done to help us, we are grateful. We would not be where we are today if not for our wonderful friends and supporters.
We still have a long way to go. We need windows (replaced and repaired), we need work on our roof, we need to finish the back yard so we can use it for events and educational programs.
Please consider helping us reach our goal of making this small little building a shining light in America’s Hometown!
